Hi All,

I've built a new system and all was working well for the first few weeks. Last week I visited the windows update site and installed the following updates:

  • Definition Update for Microsoft Security Essentials - KB2310138 (Definition 1.99.460.0)
  • Definition Update for Microsoft Security Essentials - KB2310138 (Definition 1.99.540.0)
  • Windows 7 Service Pack 1 for x64-based Systems (KB976932)
  • Realtek driver update for Realtek PCIe GBE Family Controller
  • Accusys Inc. - Storage - ACS-6xxxx
  • Update for Windows 7 for x64-based Systems (KB2488113)
  • ViewSonic - Display - ViewSonic VX2235wm
  • Microsoft Silverlight (KB2495644)
  • Update for Windows 7 for x64-based Systems (KB2484033)
Since then my system crashes every time it's left alone for a few minutes. If I'm at the machine using it, so far it hasn't crashed once, but if I walk away for half an hour it crashes 100% of the time.

I've tried to analyze the .dmp files that are generated, and they point to the nvidia drivers "Probably caused by : nvhda64v.sys ( nvhda64v+17f00 )". I've gone to the nvidia site and downloaded the latest and greatest for my OS version, to no avail.

I have attached my DxDiag output file as well as the latest crash dump to this message.

Any ideas?

Apologies for not attaching the BSOD and perfmon output in first post, they're attached now.

How do I uninstall the NVIDIA HDMI audio driver? I've tried through the device manager and the driver files keep coming back on reboot. Googling returns sites that look to be potential scam sites (e.g., Uninstall NVIDIA HDMI Audio Device Completely with Uninstall Tool.)

Yes it is the cause, disable that in device manager

OK, that is done. System still turns off constantly but at least there is no crash dump. I guess that's progress?
