Frequent BSODs after leaving laptop on standby at random periods.

Recently I have been getting BSODs very frequently after leaving my laptop on standby. It will just happen at seemingly random timings. Somtimes it happens after half an hour of standby, sometimes it takes a few hours. I have no idea what;s going on. I'm not so good with this IT stuff so please bear with me if I cant follow the jargon I have included the crash dump files here. Please do help

Daemon Tools, Alcohol 120% and Power Archiver Pro uses SCSI Pass Through Direct (SPTD), which is a well known BSOD causer. Uninstall Daemon Tools at first. Then download SPTD standalone installer from Disk-Tools.com, and execute the downloaded file as guided below :

• Double click to open it.
• Click this button only:
• 
• If it is grayed out, as in the picture, there is no more SPTD in your system, and you just close the window.

The intel RST driver you are using are very old.

Download and install this particular version of Intel Rapid Storage Driver:

• Version: 11.2.0.1006
• Date: 06/07/2012

If you see that it is not for windows 7, but for Vista and XP, dont be afraid. Download and install it.

Free up the startup. Windows does not need any other program to auto start with it, but the auto start programs often conflicts and causes various problems including BSODs.

1. Click on the Start button
2. Type “msconfig (without quotes), click the resulting link. It will open the System Configuration window.
3. Select the “Startup” tab.
4. Deselect all items other than the antivirus.
5. Apply > OK
6. Accept then restart.

Do some Disc checks.

1. Reseat the sata and power.
   
   
2. Run chkdsk /f/r, following the option two of the tutorial Disk Check
3. Seatool for dos: SeaTools | Seagate download
   Burn it in a blank cd. boot from the CD, click on "Accept", wait for it to finish detecting the drives, then in the upper left corner select "Basic Tests", then select "Long Test" and let it run.
4. Post a screenshot of your HDD using CrystalDiscInfo.

LOL. As i was doing the Seagate Disk scanning thing, I got a BSOD..=.= I have done everything u said so far but it still crashes

The caution indication can be converted to good using CrystalDiscInfo. Click on the caution Button, you will get another window ....

In the resulting window, there are three sliders in the left. Drag them to the ultimate left, and notice the values at the right side are converting to zeros.

Now click the apply button, and notice that the caution is gone.

Now try the seatools test once again.

I'm running the scan now. Its gonna take some time. May I ask what is actually wrong with my laptop?

OK, actually the disc/storage access is being blocked for some reason. Not seeing any software oriented reasons apparently, so trying for recover the HDD.

I think so.

Turn the system off, open the case and check if the Hard drive is warm or more warm than its supposed to be.

It also would be a wise plan to back up your data externally.

Both the bugcheck codes are 0X7A with the probable cause Ntfs.sys; that indicates a failing HDD, taking into account teh earlier information we already have.

Take the backup as early as possible.

Thanks for all your help so far. Now that you mentioned it, I've noticed my laptop gets crazily hot at times. About the back up thing, I'm in college so I do not have the means or the times to even get an external hard disk especially my exams are around the corner. Anyway thanks for all your help.
