Hi, I've been suffering random BSOD for ages now and have found no rhyme or reason as to when or why they occurr.

I would be very grateful if someone could look through the dump files and point me in the right direction.

Well that's not right. I get anywhere between 3 and 7 BSODs on average per day. Why would my PC not be generation dumps since the 13th?

I used method one for posting the dumps as per the instruction page.

*EDIT*

I went through method two, the zip contains the most recent dumps.

Hi asmcelhinney.

You are having versatile issues within a very short range of time.

Test your RAM modules for possible errors.
How to Test and Diagnose RAM Issues with Memtest86+
Run memtest86+ for at least 8 consecutive passes.

If it start showing errors/red lines, stop testing. A single error is enough to determine that something is going bad there.

Let us know the result.

I ran Memtest (from a USB) overnight. It got to 9 passes with no errors.

What's next?

Next, enable Driver Verifier to monitor the drivers.
Driver Verifier - Enable and Disable
Run Driver Verifier for 24 hours or the occurrence of the next crash, whichever is earlier.

   Information
Why Driver Verifier:
It puts a stress on the drivers, ans so it makes the unstable drivers crash. Hopefully the driver that crashes is recorded in the memory dump.

How Can we know that DV is enabled:
It will make the system bit of slow, laggy.

   Warning
Before enabling DV, make it sure that you have earlier System restore points made in your computer. You can check it easily by using CCleaner looking at Tools > System Restore.

If there is no points, make a System Restore Point manually before enabling DV.

   Tip

Let us know the results, with the subsequent crash dumps, if any.

A Driver Verifier enabled minidump clearly stating that the issue is memory Corruption!!

Whereas you reported your test did not find any issue at all.

I find it interesting.

Run memtest86+ again. When 8 passes are completer and you are closing the program, take a camera snap of the memtest86+ window. Upload the image here.

Am I doing something wrong? Is there an alternative diagnostic tool?

No, there is nothing wrong from your part. And memtest86+ is the best available memory diagnostic tool.

I am wondering why it is happening ... it is showing memory corruption even with DV enabled but still memtest86+ detects no error.

I think I need some more eyes there to see your issue. Will ask others to have a look.

Have you ever overclocked?

When did the issue begin?

When was the last Clean Reinstall?

Did you allow Win7 to provide the drivers it wants?

My 2 cents worth if you have not looked already - oops should have said is look at the PSU volts

Using HW Info PSU

Download HW Info and pick the right bit version - HWiNFO, HWiNFO32/64 -Download -(copy and paste thissite into the search bar) If you do not need the running information in thesmaller right hand panel close it. In the left hand window click on the + forthe individual device groupings and they will open out to the various components.

Go on opening out further until you get to the device itself. click on it andit will highlight. In the right hand window there will be a very detaileddescription of that device as in brand, speeds model number etc etc These arevery detailed and are just what is needed for searching for drivers etc.

To get the PSU voltsyou need to select the Sensor button circled in yellow in the pic

See my pic for an example - the title for the settings may be different for your machine this is my Ivy Bridge board - Asus

No
When I bought the PC (2/3 years ago?)
Pass
To the best of my knowledge, yes.

I will try this asap. What is the benefit of using 4.20 over 5?

My 2 cents worth if you have not looked already - oops should have said is look at the PSU volts

Thanks for your suggestion, I'll look into this after the retry with Memtest.

As far as I know they are both the same, V5.10 was just made to accommodate some of the newer chipsets, but a lot of people have had trouble with 5. If you use V5, when the test first starts it will tell you to push certain keys if you have a multi core CPU. Don't Push any keys, and the test will start in a few seconds. You will want to download either the ZIP file which contains an ISO filre that you have to burn to CD. You have to have an ISO burner to do it. Windows has an ISO burner that will work well Just double click the ISO and the Windows ISO Burner will open. If you want to run it from a USB Flash drive, download the Pre configured USB one. Put in a USB flash drive, after unzipping he file, open the program, tell it the drive letter of the USB Flash drive and click the Format check box and it will start and install it to the USB Flash drive. Whichever one you use, boot from it and the test will automatically start. Just let it run until you have done 8 complete passes at a minimum, more is better, or as Icit2LoL showed until you get an error. If you get an error, your ram has failed so there is no reason to continue. To stop the test, just push the Escape key.

Version 4.2, 27 passes (left it on whilst I was out for the day), no errors.

I was going to ask if simply replace my RAM would help. Somehow I doubt it.
