Related to bcmwlhigh664.sys Network Adapter wireless driver from Broadcom Corporation. I would update to the newest driver available.

I had checked the driver and it was the latest (5.100.68.48). But (after your reply) I did download and install a newer version of the software. I have moved the entire system (my wifes) downstairs to the dining room table where I get much better signal strength and only had the Blue Screen once this morning on power up. It's been OK for 5-6 hours.

Are you reasonably sure it's the Netgear Wireless Adapter? I can run a long CAT5 cable and test for a few days.

NOTE: Sorry, the newer version of software that I installed was the same as the original.

The crash definitely implicates the USB Wireless Network Adapter. Crashes due to these devices are actually fairly common. USB does not provide the power stability necessary for a Wireless Network Adapter, so they are prone to failures the result in blue screen crashes. We usually recommend replacing the devices with a PCI Wireless Network Adapter if possible.

You may also consider re-installing the device driver for the device. Do not install over the old one, but fully uninstall the driver and re-install with a freshly downloaded driver. Download the driver prior to uninstalling the current driver.
  1. Click Start Menu
  2. Right Click My Computer/Computer
  3. Click Manage
  4. Click Device Manager from the list on the left
  5. Expand Network adapters
  6. Right click the wireless network device
  7. Click Uninstall (do not click OK in the dialog box that pops up after hitting Uninstall)
  8. Put a tick in Delete driver software for this device and hit OK
  9. Do not restart your computer
  10. Install the downloaded driver for the wireless network device.

Alternatively:
  1. Login as an adminstrative user.
  2. Click Start Menu
  3. Click Control Panel
  4. Click Hardware and Sound
  5. Click Device Manager (the last link under Devices and Printers)
  6. Expand Network adapters
  7. Right click the wireless network device
  8. Click Uninstall (do not click OK in the dialog box that pops up after hitting Uninstall)
  9. Put a tick in Delete driver software for this device and hit OK
  10. Do not restart your computer
  11. Install the downloaded driver for the wireless network device.
