Frequent unexpected shutdowns - Windows 7 Ultimate 32-bit. Hobby project: Dell Latitude C640; 2GB RAM; NEW out-of-the-box 60GB hard drive. Same problem with the old 40GB hard drive. Checked file system with Windows Repair using an installation DVD and then again using a repair DVD. No errors found. Checked memory sticks independently with Win 7 memory checker -- all is okay. Would someone please analyze my dump file results and point me in the right direction? Thank you.

Wrong location?

I have never seen a BSOD on this specific problem. Just a Windows error message after logging on after the system automatically reboots. The requested file is attached. Sorry if I posted at the wrong location or with the incorrect procedure .....

You're not at the wrong location, it seems you have had a few BSOD crashes.
The first zip file you uploaded has a text file which contains data from BSOD crashes.

The only problems are that your BIOS dates from 2004 which is 5 years before Windows 7 was released and your Product ID is from HP instead of Dell.
This makes your installation counterfeit.
Code:
Registered Owner: Latitude
Registered Organization:
Product ID: [COLOR="Red"]00426-OEM-8992662-00010[/COLOR] <-- HP PID on Dell laptop board
Original Install Date: 11/5/2002, 4:23:34 AM
System Boot Time: 11/3/2015, 5:27:08 AM
System Manufacturer: Dell Computer Corporation
System Model: Latitude C640
System Type: X86-based PC
Processor(s): 1 Processor(s) Installed.
                           [01]: x86 Family 15 Model 2 Stepping 7 GenuineIntel ~1700 Mhz
BIOS Version: Dell Computer Corporation A10, [COLOR="red"]1/12/2004[/COLOR]

Troubleshooting a counterfeit installation is useless as it is not known what has been modified to your system.
A counterfeit installation contains heavily modified code which causes the system to behave in unexpected ways.
For this reason, analyzing counterfeit systems is unreliable and most analysts won't try it.

I recommend to install a genuine copy of Windows.
If, after you have installed a genuine copy of Windows, you still get BSOD's we'll be happy to assist you.

Purchased unit one month ago on eBay which was supposedly acquired from an estate auction ..... That's what I get - " a pig in a poke". Thanks much!

If I change the installation to a legit serial number will that cure the counterfeit issue? Of course I know it won't fix the shutdown problems and it won't make any code changes.

The counterfeit part is mostly due to the modified code, only changing the PID won't be enough to remove the modifications.
