Hi, i still use Windows 7, and i like the Frequent (Favourite Tabs) I have 10 of my most used sites there. Quite often another site that i have visited will replace one of my Frequents. Its normally no problem, i just click the cross in the box and my one reappears. Just lately when i do this the box is empty, i go to the site a few times but it doesn't come back in the frequent box. I have to do a file clean with Ccleaner, then all the boxes are empty and start all over. I hope i made sense explaining this. My question is, is there a way to stop these frequently used sites from changing, somehow locking them? Thanks for any help

Hi Terry,

I'll start with this warning

IE11 is no longer supported, time to swap browsers. obviously w7 isn't either but malware can be limited to some extent by your AV. More importantly and possibly the cause of your problem is that some of your favorite sites are, for want of a better expression, ignoring part of your request. ie we wont or dont want to connect to an un-supported browser which does not have valid security certificates.

Ok back to business;
your options are rather limited, there is no specific repair tool.

you could
reset all your Interenet Option - via control panel
or uninstall/re-install it
Internet Explorer 11 - Uninstall in Windows 7

Roy

if you swap to another browser, turn off ie11 in programs/features - turn features on/off
