Hi Everyone, just joined.
I have just had to do a fresh install of Windows 7 Home premium 64 bit.
A question i have is: are there any methods to find where these updates are being downloaded to, so that i may keep them on a disc for the next time i need to do a fresh install, or do i have to check in installed updates and manually find and download them?

I'm pretty sure that there is no way to separately save the updates so I guess you will have to go the normal download route.

As an alternative to a fresh install next time why don't you make an image backup when you have the system the way you like it and restore that instead. You will then have most of your updates and installed programs in place.

Thanks, Thought maybe there was a way to find the updates and store them, i think actually that is going to be the best way to do it.

Be sure you have the latest Service pack in the installer to save a lot of time after reinstall.
