Fresh OS install, need help with drivers!

Hey guys,

I have recently reinstalled my windows 7 64 bit OS. Now I am trying to install the drivers for my graphics card, which is a geforce gt 540m. When trying to install the driver, it says, "You must install an Intel driver first". What does this mean?

My laptop is an Asus a53sv laptop.

Hi Norm. Are you not able to use Recovery Media that came with the laptop for the re-install ? - that would take care of any pre-req software requirements and avoid issues like this.

If you are doing a clean upgrade/install of the OS then it can be a big job getting all the right drivers installed.

You need to provide the exact details of the error message you are getting and then perhaps go and search The ASUS drivers site which is here:

ASUSTeK Computer Inc. -Support- Drivers and Download A53SV
