Solved fresh windows install help...

hey everyone need some help, i had windows 7 installed on my pc and i had a really bad virus, so i did a low level format and reinstalled windows. now as i try to load it after it says windows is starting the screen goes black and nothing happens but it starts in safe mode fine any ideas thanks

As there was a virus attack, yo ushould have performed a clean installation formatting the entire C drive, as described in STEP 7 of the tutorial http://www.sevenforums.com/tutorials/1649-clean-install-windows-7-a.html .

well after i did the low level format and put the the windows disc i did do a clean install ? is it possible the windows copy is no good

Rather than a low-level format try deleting your partition (s) during the clean install procedure, and then create a new partition to install Windows on.

What are you using as your installation media? OEM disc? Retail disc? Downloaded ISO?

i did that to umm i downloaded it, its the retail, i can try again
