FTP Problems -- Windows Explorer Crashes

I just got a new computer with Windows 7. I wanted to use it to connect to my websites.

When I use the FTP function I can connect with one of my websites that is NOT on a GoDaddy server without a problem. But whenever I connect to any website on GoDaddy Windows Explorer immediately stops working.

I can connect through FTP in Internet Explorer, but when it tells me that I can use Windows Explorer it will go through what seems like a really long connection attempt, then a second and sometimes a third (that I do not see on any other computer in this process), finally I'll see the window open up with the icons representing the files on the remote server, and then I'll get an error message announcing that Explorer has stopped working.

This happens EVERY TIME.

Intermittantly I do get the same message when running other applications on the computer, probably about 1-2 times an hour. But the FTP function happens EVERY TIME.

I took the computer back to Best Buy where I bought it but they say they are not responsible for software, only hardware. So they just tell the customer "tough luck." Boy am I pissed at Best Buy.

I have read about some FTP problems with Windows 7, does anyone have a suggestion.
