Hi, first post here,im not technical at all, but my laptop came back from repair (it kept crashing and screen went blue) anyway I have it back now and all was working fine internet wise. In the last few days it will not allow me on any websites. It shows our wifi is connected (it works fine on tablet and mobile phone) but when I click on Internet Explorer or google it just says it cant display this page. Ive also tried plugging it via usb into the wifi dongle but still no luck :( does anyone have any suggestions to correct this?? Ive tried troubleshooting but it says there are no issues.

He's more than likely deleted your SSID and/or its security code.
Open your network properties, check if your ISP connection is still there, sky/virgin/bt etc, then go to the security section and check the password, if you dont know it its on the router.
Make sure its the prefferred option as well

It is still there , it asked for the password when I got the laptop back, and it was ok for a few days . I dont think thats the issue but I will look at what you suggest. Thank you for replying.

I looked into that Roy, but no that all looks ok. Normally if we need to put a network security password in the icon on the bottom is different. Looking at it now it looks like it is connected it just will not let me go online ... im starting an online course soon and really dont want one of those new windows laptops they drive me mad, also cant really afford so ideally ill get this one working. Since ive had the laptop back I've installed avast security, surely that wont affect me getting online?
