Full System Freeze Reapting Sound Loop - NO BSOD

Hey everyone, ive been trying to diagnose this issue for a while with no luck and I was looking for a fresh perspective. At random times, my computer will freeze up with a repeating audio loop, no BSOD nothing and it will stay that way till i do a hard reset.

I have already tried the usual stuff, not overclocking, tested memory, and prime95 test CPU. Thanks for any input.

Well, first we should see if a driver is causing the problem which is generally the case. Try enabling Driver Verifier to force a BSOD if a driver is at fault. Follow these instructions.

Well that did not take long, I got a Blue screen before i even got into windows. Had to boot into safe mode to get the info and disable the verify

Ah yes, Daemon Tools, A well known cause for BSODs. Please remove it from the control panel.

Will give it a try, thanks. Any other program you recommend besides that.

I understand that could effect the boot process, but not how it would lock the system up with repeating sound loop. I will keep verify on and see what happens

No. If you get any more dump files I'll take a look. Removing Daemon Tools should fix the problem.

Issue is back, full system lock up in windows while cruising internet still not BSOD even with verifier enabled

Hmm. Freezing is a tough one, there's little information that helps us isolate the root cause. I'll try and get some help with this one.

I agree, im trying to cause at least a Blue Screen to go off of. I have noticed that its not exactly with a repeating sound, ive had solid freezes without sound. It only repeats if something was playing. I just ran through Memtest and Prime95 both passed. Its a Gigabyte z68xp-ud3 board which i have has issues with in the past. The board was stuck in a boot loop for a while that i had to clear CMOS and power to get it to reset. That was about 4 months ago have not had an issue since.

Looking through the Windows Log stuff i found these, dont know if it could effect but they all happened at time of freeze

The weirdest thing is I can seem to run any stability test from Memtest to prime95 and they all pass fine

We need to see the situation before uninstalling Daemon Tools.

Its either the board or something with windows. So to make sure its the board ive just reinstalled windows and will see what happens in the next day or 2. Thanks anyways for the help, if it happens again ill post something
