what do you mean by fully transparent?

the stripes and end blurs can be removed, but i don't think anyone has figured out how to remove the blur yet...

what do you mean by stripes and end blurs? :p

we've already got fully transparent windows courtesy of Brink , the only problem with that is it's either FULLY clear or it isn't. so a fix for that so the user decides how see-thru he wants it it wouldn't be a bad idea ;)

anyway, i want it for the superbar and start menu like this guy wants.

Transparent Taskbar using Classic Shell

I too have been trying heaps of different ways in making the taskbar transparent, and although Windows 7 has Aero, it is not quite the same as you can still see the bar across in a light colour. I found this free program "Classic Shell" which is easy to use and the result is exactly what I have been looking for. Here is a screen-shot of the result.
(The desktop picture is not part of the transparent taskbar.)
