I spent some time driving all over England and Scotland several years back. Had a great time doing it. It only took a few hours to get used to the switch. The only thing I never go used to was when I kept looking out the window to find the (center) rear view mirror. :rolleyes:

For me the most difficult part of UK & Irish traffic is the traffic circles (roundabouts, as they say). I have no issues in driving my left hand drive car or a locally rented right hand drive car on the left, but come traffic circle my instinct makes me to turn right.

I have had some close calls, especially when arriving in UK with a ferry the first miles and traffic circles after driving off from the ferry.
