Gadget spacing and buttons

(Still) using RC1 I was wondering if i can change the spacing between the gadget. The spacing was much narrower in Vista and i would like to reduce the space between the gadgets. I did not find any settings that would allow me to play around with the spacing.

In W7 those gadget icons that allow me to change the gadgets settings are much bigger then they were in Vista. Any way to make those smaller as well?

if you hold SHIFT while moving gadgets, it turns off the "snap", and you can move them closer together.
