A week or two ago I had a problem with no gadgets. Someone pointed out that it was a windows feature which needed to be enabled in the program category in the control panel. Fine. I did that and I got my gadgets. I put a clock on the desktop. It worked for a week or so. Tonight I boot into Windows 7 and the clock is gone. So I right click the desktop, click on "Gadgets" and get a message that says "Desktop Gadgets are managed by your System Administrator". Then I went to the Control Panel, clicked on "Desktop Gadgets" and got the same identical message. In Programs under Windows Features I turned Windows Gadget Platform off, rebooted, turned it back on, rebooted, and still no access.
Needless to say, I am the only user and have administrator privileges.
So what's up with this?
