Solved Gadgets are gone!

Hey there, basically, i turned off my laptop,went out, came back in logged on and my gadgets wont appear, when right clicking on the desktop and clicking on gadgets, simply nothing happens at all, sidebar.exe IS running in the task manager and i have ended and restarted the process. I have also run all of the usual programs in terms of malware, virus's etc. Also ran sfc/ scannow, found some corrupt files and repaired them, restarted and still the problem persists, any ideas? cheers

Try turning them off then back on in windows features,
