Why do my gadgets keep disappearing? It's like I kill its host process. At random times, they disappear, all of them, its host dies away, when I right click on desktop and select gadgets or use command: "%ProgramFiles%\Windows Sidebar\sidebar.exe /showGadgets" they re-appear only to be gone again in 1-3 hours. I use them to monitor temps, check network status, cpu usage, rss feeds. I've also tried removing them, leaving just 1 preinstalled gadget such as the analogue clock - same problem, after some time they are gone, doesn't matter what i'm doing. I have no idea how to troubleshoot it, they give no errors, they simply vanish.

Disable the gadget platform, then re-enable. See if that clears the problem.
