Galexy Note 4 does not show up under usb devices ?

Have a new cell phone (Galaxy Note 4) When I plug it into an available usb port...the phone connections via windows is activated. I can read/transfer files etc...but the phone does not show up under 'Safely remove hardware and eject media) as all my old phones did ?

Instead it's now shows up in 'Devices and Printers' ? My question is there is no way to "Safely Remove Device/Hardware when I am exiting the usb connection.

Is it ok to just 'pull the plug' on this phone ? I think the safely remove hardware option under the system tray options usb connections was to prevent hardware damage/lost of data...etc ?

Also..does this phone (Samsung) need an anti-virus app the same as any PC does ? ( if so...any suggestions)

Hi my phone does same as yours. I never had a problem when removing it from port.

Smart phones has two options when connected to a computer, there's:
Media Device (MTP) - (Lets you transfer media files on windows or using android file transfer on MAC)
Camera (PTP) - (Lets you transfer photos using camera software, and transfer files that dont support MTP)
Both doesnt need to be safely removed.

About the antivirus:
for me, i dont use antivirus on my phone, it'll just add to RAM and battery consumption of your phone, just make sure if you download apps, your downloading on apple APP STORE, Google playstore or the windows app store.
