Game keeps on crashing in windows 7

Hello.
I have been having some problems since i installed my windows 7 ultimate.
I mostly play wow and after a few minuts or hours, randomly, the game crashes and i get a critical error.
I thought that i was just wow so i started to play games from Steam and the same thing there, just did a clean install of windows and upgraded the newest drivers and even upgraded my bios but still same problem, and i get a black screen when im inside windows 7.
I bought a new grafik card yesterday, radeon hd 5750 1gb so thats not the problem, Scanned my ram and its no errors, checked out my Hard drive and no problems there either.

My motherboard is a asus m2a-vm hdmi and cpu is amd athlon 64 x2 6400+, 4gb ram. If anyone could give me a tip on things to do i would love it.

i was having the same problem... question are you only getting the lock ups when your gaming? or does it occur also when your browsing the net?
