Game patch is extracting to C(main), instead of D disk....

Greetings,

I have a problem. I installed a game, and I am applying patches to it.(CoD:WaW)
The thing is, I firstly installed game to D disk(where I install everything), and when I went to apply patches, they all first extracted themselves into C disk(I have no idea how to find it, I searched and everything, and can't find it), then they open as installer, and asks me where I want to install that patch, obviously, default target location(which is where the game is installed- D disk).

So, my problem is that, when I apply those patches, they extract themselves to C disk, instead of D disk. And I don't have lot of space on C disk, Little more then 3 GB now(38GB total, and D disk has a bunch more GB's), so it wont let me finish applying patches.

Please, if anyone understand what I'm saying, and knows possible solution, please, advise me. Anything will help.

Thank you.

hi Mawfaka, and welcome to sevenforums,

the patches are in a compressed format, similar to zip. so when you run them, they have to first extract/unpack/unzip themselves to get to the actual install program.

they will extract to your system's temp folder, which by default is usually c:\windows\temp

if you want to change this location, try these steps:

click on start-orb >> right-click on computer >> properties >> advanced system settings >> environment variables >> edit the location of TEMP and TMP to something like d:\temp

then start windows explorer and actually make a new folder in d: called temp
