game runs slow

I bought a new computer with win 7 on christmas, and play game on the net.. everything run fine... Until like 2 week ago it run Slow when i sign in the game .. and everything run slow... if anyone know why please let me know.. thank you every much....

You aren't giving us very much to go on, such as system specs, recently installed apps, etc. If the games are running slow, check for background processes that are taking up resources, run some virus scans, and go through the usual clean-up and maintenaince procedures. Also, if this was a pre-built system, it probably shipped with a lot of junk on it that can be removed and clean up as well.

You could start by filling out your system specs section.

open msconfig and disable all entries except for your anti-virus, then reboot and see if your speed increases..check your task manager and end un-necessary process.... let us know how it comes out...

i use BitDefender Antivirus 2010, i dont know much about computer, i just know turn on and play game and off ... i have run Deep System Scan ... it say everything is okie... but it still run Slow... i bought this computer from Fry's Elec.. all new out the box... if anyone how to fix it please show me what to do .. thank you.

Hello Andybz,
I believe your system slow down is do to your Bit Defender settings.
I too experienced massive slow down off my system and came to find it was the 'Parental Control' setting. If you have no reason to use this option, then I would suggest turning off. You'll be quite supprised )
