Well I bought a 32'' Toshiba 1080p TV a few months back and have been using it as a huge monitor for my laptop. I connect my laptop to it via HDMI. And I find that the picture isn't as sharp compared to just using my laptop screen. It's hard to explain but it seems like the pixels are more noticeable bigger. My goal in purchasing the TV was to have my laptop connected to it 99% of the time and just use it as a gigantic monitor
But I find myself for example tonight I'm about to play Deadspace again and when I was playing the game on my TV a few moments ago I found the picture somewhat "dull" just not as sharp and like I said the pixels a more noticeable. Like I said though it's hard to explain but I tried changing Picture settings on the TV menu as well as on my laptop but I can't seem to get a really "sharp" and "crisp" picture. When I watch 720 or 1080p movies it seems fine, the picture is quite good.
I know my TV isn't defective it seems to work well, it's just the picture the real issue I guess. Perhaps I should have went with Sammy ?
But buying a TV as a computer monitor as opposed to actually buying a computer monitor is that a mistake there ?
I wonder If I should try and sell my TV and just buy like a 28'' or whatever Samsung monitor ?
But I what I want to know is there any software that would allow me to tweak the settings so I can get the best possible picture ?
Gaming is a big thing for me and like I said gaming on my 32'' Toshiba TV it just doesn't seem as good as it can be.
FYI I've got this TV : Toshiba 32" 1080p LCD HDTV** (32E200U) : 30" - 39" LCD TVs - Future Shop
