That looks promising! I've not used Riva Tuner personally, but I have heard good things about it. I'd give it a shot.

Always best to make a system image, or Windows Restore Point before starting any major changes. That way you have a simple way back if things go south.

@ TVeblen I have given up..I uninstalled the game..I have wasted so much time..I figure,i will play it one day on a desktop.This laptop that i have does not possess the ability...My younger brother just bought a new Samsung I7 Laptop with Radeon Dedicated card and it is playing gta 4 FINE without any hiccups.That proves my system inability to play gta 4... This Optimus technology is a PIECE OF CRAP..I found out one day that it does not even allow my 32 inch screen to detect by my Nvidia Dedicated Memory but rather it is displayed through the Intel HD card....Anyway..i am gonna enjoy all other games..Thank you for your help..I really appreciate your suggestions...

Sorry to hear it. But you are not the only one complaining about it.

It is important to contact the manufacturer and register your complaint. They could be sitting there in their comfy office chair thinking that everyone loves their clever gadget (that doesn't work!).

Yes. .u r rite. .I will see what I can do but I am not sure if I'll get what I need from where I am living. I bought this almost a year before. ..Here you don't get many people that have good knowledge about computers. .In Qatar I mean...I don't even know any Shop that makes a gaming desktop or is familiar with the concept of customisation of computer components and making your own system. Whereas in my own country, it's very easy to find such shops....

That is interesting about Qatar. I'm not familiar with their economic system. Do they not allow independent shops? You'd think someone would be doing it if they did.

I understand why you gave up, but (assuming you didn't understandably use ya lappy as a frisbee) I just fixed this issue with chrome by (momentarily) using extended display (hdmi > dvi) then disabling my intel hd 3000 graphicsin devmgmt.msc, then running chrome...

Once it's loaded this way it correctly identifies the nvidia gpu as the 'unmasked renderer'... even if i enable intel again, refresh chrome:gpu now on laptop display, it still identifies nvidia ...
