Hello,

I'm played MW2 and a few other games fine for a long time. No lag. Suddenly, MW2 began to lag, and other games too. I can play this games for a while and than they lag for a short time. I can play a few mine, than a minute lag and so forth.

Most of the times, the lag begins when a something explodes, but after that I can't find a patron.

I've reinstalled Windows 7 but it doesn't solve the problem. Can someone help me?
It would be very nice, because I can't play games anymore.

Thanks

Is your internet connection crapping out? It does not always have to be your pc you know. ISP can have trouble too. Mine was going crazy with disconnects and lag a few days ago. Now its golden again.

well, he said when something explodes. Big packets are causing lag, which means his ISP or modem isn't handling. Unless he is playing the offline campaign. Was not specified.

Its possible. You own a gaming laptop? They are nortorious for heat. A gaming laptop is just bad.

Even if its not the heat causing it, I would seriously invest in a notebook cooler.
Cooler Master Notepal Infinite Notebook Cooler at TigerDirect.com

You can get one anywhere, but 30 bucks is all you should need to spend.

It's also possible that your lag is the result of normal MW2 behavior. There are no dedicated servers in the game; instead, MW2 relies on a P2P network. Basically, the best machine/connection of the bunch hosts the game. If that person drops, the game is then hosted on the next best machine/connection in a process called server migration.

Think of it this way: you're used to playing online games on the freeway, which is fast. MW2 forces you to play on backroads, which is not as fast as freeways. While there's code in place that mitigates the effects, no game, unless you're the host, is really lag free: it's physically impossible.
