games wont go full screen

Hi

It started when I left a game running in full screen and my laptop went to sleep mode.
Every time I want to start a game now it doesn't stretch full screen.
It just stays centered with a big black frame around it.
all help welcome!

Click the mouse on any bit of the top border of the window and then hit the Alt and Enter keys together.
