The problem is that people say 7 is better for gaming. If you have an awesome rig, it is. If you have a computer like yours or mine, it's not. Games will generally run faster in XP. Make sure you have any unnecessary programs running when you want to play a game. However, given that you use system game boosting software, you probably already do.
The issues you have with the game could be your graphics card or just that you don't have enough RAM. Silkroad online seems to have pretty low system demands, so it shouldn't run too slowly.
How much video ram do you have?

Hi, welcome to the forums :)

You may want to try running the game in Compatibility Mode for XP and see if it helps.

Buddy Win 7 uses 1Gb of ram,,thats why you are experiencing such slow performance in your games...so id say you get win xp on your laptop or get a new laptop.

And for your second case...check PC for viruses/reinstall game/check hardware updates/make sure your windows partition is not almost full or fully full

true. my HP ZV5000 has 512MB RAM and RAM usage for Windows 7 on it is nearly always 100%. Windows 7 functions best at 2GB minimum. MS were just trying to expand their Win7 userbase with the 512MB limit.

With that much RAM you should get Windows XP or buy some more RAM,

Here Windows 7 32Bit usage and that is 32 bit with nothing in the background...

yeah, the windows 7 ram usage is scarily high. as bartexx12 said, do try and buy some more ram of your laptop can support it. if not, do downgrade to XP. it will be a lot faster and is a lot better for some older games.

Also want to add that you can get more RAM for your laptop (if it supports more) fairly cheap. I got 2GB DDR3 for 15 pounds here in the uk
