I'm sorry if this is a stupid question I mainly use my PC for Gaming and don't really venture inside it

Edit of Quoted post: welp i can't see how to edit my post so i'm gonna have to do this instead
i've been looking online about SLI as i'm a first timer when it comes to SLI and i'm seeing a fair bit of negativity to SLI and am starting to wonder if it would be better to just upgrade to a gtx 1070 ti or a gtx 1080 ti? my motherboard is a asus maximus VII ranger if that helps

There`s no real reason to SLI anymore, fewer and fewer games are supporting it. And there should no reason to have to SLI a 780 Ti. Are you having any issues ?

Either get 1 1080 Ti, or wait for the 1180 to hit the market. But the price for a 1080 Ti is still ridiculous.

Or even a 1080 would be fine.

EVGA - Products - Graphics - GeForce 10 Series Family - GTX 1080

But to answer question yes you can SLI 2 780 Ti`s. As long as the cards are the same series, you can run them in SLI.

I put 2 nvidia GTX 1080 Ti`s in my X299 build, but the bottom card rarely got used, so I pulled it, 1 1080 Ti is more than enough :-)

Your 780 Ti is quite old now, I would just upgrade and sell it.
