where pieces of paper tell me to live
Ok, so I've never tried to set up a system like this before, and have been unable to find the answer just perusing through other forums which usually gives me whatever answer I need. I'm setting up a PC system for an office, the tower and main monitor being Dell Studio xps. However, it's going to be dual-monitor, and I have everything set up, working great, etc., except the second monitor is an LG Flatron w2043te touch screen, and the the touch screen will not work. I have looked to see if it was a driver issue, a compatibility issue, anything that might explain why it's not working. So, if anyone knows why and how to fix this, I'd be grateful. Oh, and this computer sat under a desk on the floor since January waiting to be set up before I got a call to do this a few days ago. No physical problems, but before I dismantle anything, what are the odds of something maybe having happened to hardware on the inside that I might need to look at fixing?

Welcome to Windows Seven Forums.

Do both of your monitors need to be touch-screen?

I think your problem may be related to how they are set up, in that one needs to be Primary display and the other a Secondary display, and that the touch-screen monitor needs to be the Primary display.

Check your display settings in Control Panel:

Only the LG is the touch screen. I changed the primary to the LG, and it's still not working. I've switched back and forth multiple times, updated everything that wanted to be done so, even threatened verbally. Alas, to no avail. What else ya got, please?
