Genuine 1080p DVD Rips from Blu Ray

Hi there
My next computer won't have any DVD's on it -- I'd like therefore to archive some of my Blu RAY DVD's to sap MP4 or similar.

Is there any DECENT software around that can preserve the full quality HD RIP (1080p). I'm sure the resulting codec will be quite easily playable with VLC.

I've tried using HANDBRAKE but I haven't been able to get better than a 720p rip. Perfectly good enough for most laptops and tablets but I'd really like to keep the full 1080p.

For HD film rips, I usually just follow this guide:

The Hassle-Free Guide to Ripping Your Blu-Ray Collection

It's a good job you've got 4TB of disk drives because it fills up surprisingly quickly!
