Hi all,

I've tried several ways to format and copy my win 7 installation into the USB. I've also tried this tutorial and this tutorial, but it always says invalid partition table while booting.

I've putted the USB-HDD first in the priority on the bios boot priority.

Could it be my USB(Kingston 8GB)? Or is there another think I can try?

Thanks.

Are you trying to install 7 from a USB thumb drive, the install files are on the USB thumb drive?

Or are you trying to install 7 TO a USB drive?

No version of Windows will install or run from a Removable drive.

From USB...
I format the usb to fat32 and copy the files.

And in the tutorial it clearly said that I can install from a usb stick

Well there lies the problem. But I seriously doubt your motherboard only sees USB sticks formatted FAT32 and not NTFS. The format should not matter one bit.

When I format it to NFTS / uses the win 7 tool (which format to ntfs) - the starting process doesnt stop at the usb, it doesnt says invalid partition table - it just continue to the windows (even due the hard disk not on the boot priority sequence)..

If you boot from usb it reads its MBR. MBR reads active partition and executes its bootsector.
MB
FAT32, NTFS, EXT2, EXT3, .... all supported if supported by bootsector. MB doesn't even know what fat32 and ntfs is!
I Can boot to linux from usb without issues.

What happens if you format as ntfs and try to boot from it?

Try to boot without usb stick inserted. Then it does boot to harddisk as well?

AntiLopa,
A motherboard doesn't "recognize" disk formats.

Your motherboard has absolutely nothing to do with your problem.

Use DiskPart to format the drive as ntfs by following the procedure given in the tutorial on this subject or if you like here is another writeup on the topic:

PREPARE A UFD FOR USE (USB FLASH DRIVE)

Run CMD.EXE as administrator

Type following commands and hit ENTER key after each command.
DISKPART starts the DiskPart program
LIST DISK shows numeral assigned to disks
note the numeral assigned to your usb stick
The numeral 2 will be used in this example
SELECT DISK 2
DETAIL DISK the info shown will confirm the correctness of your selection
CLEAN ALL the entire usb stick will be overwritten with zeros
This can take awhile if usb stick has large capacity.
Keep the faith-the DiskPart prompt will eventually return.
CREATE PARTITION PRIMARY create a primary partition on the USB stick
FORMAT FS=NTFS format the partition
ACTIVE the partition can contain operating system startup files
ASSIGN the next available letter is assigned to the USB stick
EXIT exit from the DISKPART program
EXIT exit from the command shell

I have done this a hundred times and it always works. Just follow these instructions.

Maximum PC | How To: Install Windows 7 from a USB Key!

Not sure the OP is having a problem installing Win 7, that comes later. He's having a problem loading the INSTALL FILES on a USB stick, ISO to USB stick.

Which IMHO is a computer problem as anyone with a properly functioning PC can create the Win 7 Install USB thumb drive. Even if they aren't running Win 7 on the PC.

Then perhaps he should try to do this from another system

change boot order temporay to CDROM only and reboot. Even then it boots from HDD (with usb stick disconnected)? If so... bios setting is not working.
