Getting BSOD when playing Battlefield 3.

I'm getting alot of BSOD's when playing BF3. I'm using an Nvidia 560 ti graphics card. I'm using the latest drivers, and i have also been running Furmark without any trouble. My dump is attached.

In this order,

If you had made any changes\overclocking set everything back to defaults settings.

Remove Atitool from your system.

ATITool - Overclocking utility for ATI and NVIDIA cards


Remove avg from your system.

Download,install and use Microsoft Security Essentials with windows firewall.


Update all your adobe software.

Download the most recent software\driver for your [/FONT][FONT=&quot][FONT=&quot]NVIDIA [/FONT][/FONT][FONT=&quot]

Uninstall nvidia software\driver,restart in safe mode,run driver sweeper,choose only NVIDIA-Display and clean,restart in normal mode.

Install the new ati software\driver,restart.

Update [/FONT][FONT=&quot][FONT=&quot]DirectX [/FONT][/FONT][FONT=&quot]


Run the [/FONT][FONT=&quot][FONT=&quot]nvidia-video-card-test[/FONT][/FONT][FONT=&quot],post here the results.

I have removed the ATI Tool. I have also been using DriverSweeper and reinstalled my drivers. I will update DirectX tomorrow, and will run the test. Thanks for your reply!

In many cases conflict with the system and causes bsod,its better for you to remove it and use the full compatible mse.

Ok, so i've made the GPU tests... Here's my result. My GPU hadn't got any errors on it I will try to reproduce another bluescreen if possible. If i can't, it's a success Have a nice day.

Ok, i've now been playing over matches in BF3 now! Seems to work! I didn't remove AVG, because i found out that it is better that MSE. But anyways, thank you very much! I'll post back if run into trouble!

Is better to remove it though for testing purposes.

How can you tell how old the defs are? One of the AVG drivers appears to be from October, so I'm guessing that wasn't how you determined it?
