These have been happening all the time. Some times the minute I boot up and sometimes hours into the session. I have a feeling this problem will be hard to fix.

I'm on a 64bit Windows 7 home premium genuine and these are my specs:

CPU: Intel Core i5 3570K 3.4GHz | GPU: Radeon HD 6950 | Mobo: Asus P8Z77-V LX | RAM: Corsair 8GB (2x4GB) DDR3 1600MHz

Attached is my Windows_NT6_BSOD_jcgriff2 folder and the report.

Good luck guys, thanks.

Something that stands out in the report:

symptom: tv_ConfigMgrErr28
cause: A driver has not been installed for this device preventing it from working properly.
details: The device driver for Universal Serial Bus (USB) Controller has not been installed. This device will not be available until the correct device driver is installed.
resolution: 1. Try installing the drivers using Windows Update.
2. Install the drivers that are on the installation media that came with the device.
3. Check with the manufacturer for an updated driver.

I am however using a USB mouse and a USB network adapter.

Hello sogeking and welcome to Sevenforums.

Let's look at a few issues you've been experiencing.

:ar:BSOD Report

Memory Corruption & BCCode
You have had the 7f bugcode, which can be applied to a lot of things, but likely hardware issues. Everything is possible though. Your dump contains a memory halt and a bad call. To diagnose your RAM, we'll be using an action called Memtest86+. You can mount it directly from a flashdrive, or a disk if you so desire.

Memtest86+

Rough Summary
Code:
*******************************************************************************
*                                                                             *

The video memory manager encountered a condition that it can't recover from. By crashing,
the video memory manager is attempting to get enough information into the minidump such that
somebody can pinpoint what lead to this condition.

Driver that should be updated
DB3G.sys or Diamondback USB Optical Mouse Driver timestamp is fairly old and likely uncomfortable with Windows 7. Update it, or delete if you're not using the Optical Mouse anymore.

Razer Support and Driver Downloads

DirectX files
Your dump has a hard time finding a timestamp on your DX-files. I recommend updating them by following the link.

Direct-X download

SFC /SCANNOW
Windows 7 blames corrupted Windows files. It does this if it cannot find appropriate drivers or hardware modules to blame, but it's likely your system files can be damaged or changed.

Do a SFC /SCANNOW and report back.

Using the command properly

Graphic related 10e
VIDEO_MEMORY_MANAGEMENT_INTERNAL (10e) was tricked and means the Memory Management encountered a condition it didn't like at all and couldn't recover from it.

Let's start off by updating or re-installing your Graphic Driver, it may be broken. By following this tutorial, you'll have no leftover files at the end of the installation.

i) Make your way to Nvidia Driver- page
ii) Uninstall the one you currently have and all its extensions
iii) Download Driver Sweeper
iv) Get to safe mode (without network) and search for Driver Sweeper in your :orb:
v) Select all ATI components and analyse them
vi) Clean them, head into Windows without internet and download the driver).

After, do a default-scan with CCleaner.

Best Regards,
Frederik.

...

Hey sorry for the late reply. I did the SFC /SCANNOW command in an elevated command prompt but no integrity problems were found.

I downloaded memtest86+-4.20.usb.installer.zip and installed it to my USB, I changed my boot priority in BIOS so it boots from the USB but it went to the 'starting windows' splash screen and hung their. Why is this?

I also downloaded the Direct X file you linked to, but it says I already have this or a newer version installed.

I have now reinstalled my drivers. Could you explain the need for it to be offline during install please?

Thanks.

Do you have other additional files on your USB? Have you tried another USB Port? Have you downloaded the USB image?

I also downloaded the Direct X file you linked to, but it says I already have this or a newer version installed.

It's fine for now.

I have now reinstalled my drivers. Could you explain the need for it to be offline during install please?

Windows 7 tents to download their own timestamp automatically through Windows Update. You want to avoid this so you're not getting additional left-over files during the install.

Upload any incoming dumps if you're experiencing other BSODs.

Best Regards,
Frederik.
