Getting massive FPS drops on my ATI Radeon HD 7950

So I've been playing quite a lot of games recently. And I've been getting more and more frustrated since I'm getting huge fps drops, which shouldn't happen since this is a brand new video card.

Here's some screenshots for you to get a better overview of things.

The above is idle.

Sincerely, P1raten.

Im guessing that is a 7950 not a 7970 ?

Anyway what games are you playing and have you gone through re installing direct x
and did you also get your drivers from the site ?

Also keep in mind if these games are on Lan it might not be the card you should check your pings during game play that could be a reason as well

Yeah it's 7950, my bad.

I've gotten the drivers from AMD's website. I installed Driver Sweeper and removed all previous AMD and ATI drivers.

No, I have no re-installed direct x. I was not aware that you needed to do that.

You don't but it helps in cases like these Games already comes with direct x run time etc but some of these games are outdated and need to be updated again

I do that and re install drivers but seriously I had issues like that for the greater part of a month and im in Crossfire even when they were overclcoked dramatic lag but turns out the game i was playing needed major updates and patches

So those are things i would look into because ussually unless you're using a weak PSU or a real old CPU this would occur but seeing the layout you are fine so i would look into those options updates etc also if you are using Steam you could right click on the game and do a file recovery and a defragment to refresh the game that always helps as well

When do the FPS drops occur? Did you by any chance max out every possible setting in your game because you have an almost top of the line AMD GPU?

I find it troublesome that your 7950 is running at 54C on idle.
Mine runs at 40C idle, and I feel that's hot.

I fixed this with disabling the auto update driver function in windows, uninstalling the drivers and the reinstalling them again.
