hello

i have been using windows 7 for about a month now. i am unable to connect to the internet without first re-entering my Wireless key for my BT home hub.

on a apple mac and a pc running xp we dont have any problems - and i didnt until i upgraded to windows 7.

on restarting my PC it never goes to our named wireless connection but instead seems to try every other option first. i then disconnect from whatever it has defaulted to and try to connected to our home connection - this always fails on the first attempt, then works on the second attempt. I am then connected without problems until i restart my PC

please can someone suggest how I keep the connection i want as default, and also how i make it remember the wirless key so that i dont have to enter it every time.

Go to "manage wireless networks" in the "network and sharing center" (upper left)

you can right click a connection from there and set up what you want to happen when you log on.

You might want to delete any wireless networks you are not using.

I don't know if the OP ever got their issue resolved, but I tried the suggestion in the reply.

I keep seeing ACCESS DENIED.

Everything was fine, and now it isn't; I am at a loss as to what changed.

My WAP shows up when laptop starts, click to connect, and always ordered to enter password. :(

Any suggestions/options to try MUCH appreciated!:)
