I'm getting a bsod with windows 7 64bit. I've been searching for the problem but really can't find it. What can I do to pinpoint the error. I think its likely to be an error with drivers but I'm not too sure what. Or maybe it's the windows updates that are causing it? The PC will work fine for a few reboots until i have to do system restore and then it's working perfectly again..

Can we get some details on what the error code is? eg, 0x0000XXXX

Unfortunatley they've varied quite a bit I've had BCCode's like a ,1a ,e,1e and 19. I'll also add that all the safe modes work fine.

what crispy said test your ram :geek:

you have a multiple of different bugcheck strings over the 18 minidumps youv'e provided which would immediately suggest to me that you have ram problems, and all of your drivers are up to date, including this one which could have been suspect
ath2425x.sys fffff880`088b4000 fffff880`089ac000 0x000f8000 0x45b96453 26/01/2007 02:15:47
but you updated on 5th jan

have you checked your ram for compatibility with your motherboard ?

If you could please fill out your system specs in the bottom left of any post you have made then we could maybe determine how many slots are filled with how much and what ram type on what motherboard ?

I've just uninstalled my wireless adapter. It's a belkin fd 7050 and the bluescreens appear to have stopped. However this is a bit of a problem as I now cant connect to the internet. the drivers for that adapter don't have support for windows 7 so that might be the problem. I've still to run memtest in the meantime but creating this bootable disk is proving difficult. What free burning software will allow me to make one? Thanks for the help.

The adapter is defiantly v3. The problem is either the adapter or something else that's causing it not to work right. If i install the wireless adapter and restart my pc then bsod will start to happen..

It appears that the new windows 7 drivers fixed that persons problems. It was the version 4 of the adapter though. I've ran memtest on one of my RAM sticks and there were no errors. I'm going to try the other one now.

It's starting to sound like you may have found the problem and maybe need to get yourself a wireless adapter that's windows 7 compatible :)

Any idea as what adapters are windows 7 compatible which would be suitable. They'd have to be pci-e or usb though.

Use the PCI adapters (in a slot inside the case) - we don't have anywhere near the problems that we do with the USB devices.
