Ghosts in the machine... again!

Hello Folks. I recently purchased Malwarebytes Anti-Exploit to compliment my Premium Anti-Malware, only to discover that activating it crashes IE11. According to their support forum:
Ghostery Add-on for Internet Explorer 11 alongside MBAE, or any other product that hooks wininet APIs, makes IE crash. This is because Ghostery is making incompatible API hooks, i.e. without taking into consideration that there might be other products hooking the same APIs.
I contacted them two weeks ago to ask if I could run both, side-by-side, because I like what Ghostery does, but did not get an answer.
I am also running Hit-Man Pro which I also like, but could relinquish if I had to. Does anyone know if it is HMPro or definitely Ghostery that is causing my problem?

I only recently activated Ghostery again because it was causing problems once before; is it not yet fully developed?

Ghostery likely falls in to that class of software that doesn't like to play nice with other software, either by design, or by incompetence. MalwareBytes has stated that it doesn't play nice with MBAE already, which is probably why you didn't get an answer from them when you asked if it would run side by side.

I think you're going to have to bite the bullet and not use one of them. Which one you choose to use is up to you. If it were me, I wouldn't use the one that sold my tracking data to an advertising company. (Looking at you, Ghostery)

Thank-you Mellon Head. I suppose I hoped there was a work-around. Does anyone make a more sophisticated system that does what Ghostery does without screwing up the works?

Taking an alternative tack: is there a program that does what Ghostery does but plays nice with other software?
