I have connected 2 HD's to the onboard GIGABYTE RAID controller, but in Windows 7 it won't work. In devicemanager it installs it as a "standard IDE-controller", with a yellow triangle on "This device can't start" it says.
Don't this RAID controller work in Windows 7, or is it just me that can't find a driver for it?
Edit: this RAID0 setup was not ment to be system drive, as I also have a SSD.

Have you enabled the Gigabyte Raid controller in the BIOS? I don't know what board you have but in my GA P45 UD3P it is actually a Jmicron controller and you can get a Windows 7 driver from their site.
Yes, as I wrote the raid setup works fine when I'm booting into XP
But as I even can't find the raidcontroller in device manager in Win7 I don't know how to let it search for drivers online.

I found this forum after googling for my own RAID issues. I have a P55M-UD2 rev1.1. The only drives are two 2Tb HDs in a RAID1 configuration, and 3 out of 4 boots results in a BSOD. Can anyone (maybe pbcopter) recommend a Driver solution? I have the latest and so-called-greatest drivers from Gigabyte, but that's not helping at all.
I'm also considering switching my drives from the Gigabyte Chip controlled SATA ports to ports controlled by the Intel chip, and seeing if that runs more smoothly. Has anyone else done this? Is it even possible to move a RAID to another controller and retain data?
