What's wrong in the 7 drivers? Additionally, you can always try installing the Vista drivers in Windows 7 and they theoretically should work.

Yes it works with Windows 7 drivers (I have done it myself). I prefer to leave the current driver installed and use the info about changing the values in the registry. Sometimes the changes made to the inf file are not made every where in the registry, so you end up having to do it anyways.
