i am wondering what good 2.0 speakers are there. i am thinking of saving space with 2.0 speakers. i believe that some 2.0 speakers beat 2.1 or even more channels 1? eg. Bose? but i dont print money, so i am wondering if Creative T20 Series II is good? it looks good btw

In my experience looking good and sounding good are worlds apart.

Best thing to do it go to a store that stocks a large range of speakers and let your ears do the listening that way you will not be disappointed.

They look pretty good but I have no idea how good they are.

I have Logitech Z10' on my PC. In an office size room they are quite simply awesome IMO. Sound quality is fantastic, I can't believe so much sound can come from such small speakers.

I doubt they would be too great in a large room but for a simple 2.0 PC speaker system I dont know better. $RRP here in Australia was $299 but I managed to buy them for $95

Hi,

As I know of the Gigaworks series from Creative has a good reputation.
But as steve-pressman says if possible better to listen to them yourself.
It's a very subjective thing.
I don't know what your budget is but I myself would go for the slightly bigger T40

Saw you're on laptop...
I'll look at the criteria, if you can have an "Aux input jack" aswell Usb powered, could be good enough to plug an external Soundcard in the future.

If you have the extra cash and space for a subwoofer I would recommend Kilpsch's ProMedia 2.1 THX Certified Speakers which are around $150. I bought them about a month and a half ago and have been very impressed. Many reviews I read prior to purchasing claimed they sound better than Bose Companion 3 Series which are $100 more.
