looking for a calendar/planner program that is simple. It would show coming events such as "Sept. 10 lunch with John at noon". And it would work on my desktop without having to be online. AND it would be simple, just the facts. Any good ones out there? Free is a bonus of course. Thanks!
After doing a quick Google search, I found an app that looks alright, the name is just not that great but if you can look past the name I think it's what you are looking for. The calendar is called Rainlendar, ain't it a beauty?
I've used a lot of programs both Free and Commercial and have come to the conclusion that If you working within a general office environment then you are far better to go for Microsoft Outlook as this is now the De-Facto standard.
If you want to control your life on a more personal level I have found AnyDo and it's related Cal applications the ones that work for me they are available online, (website), or as Apps for mobile devices, They are available for free (although I use the Paid version). They sync with Google Calendar and other "Phone Apps" so allow you to tailor the system to your names
