Google alerts disappearing

I have been receiving Google alert e-mails for over a year with no problems. About 6 weeks ago my internet provider upgraded their email service, and it has been much better all around, except for the Google Alerts!. Now when I open my emails I see the Google alerts for a split second and then they vanish, nowhere to be found. Before I contact my provider, I thought it much more beneficial to ask the good people here to glean some insight. What do you think it might be? Thanks, Rusty.

Well that is the first time I have seen a post calling AdwCleaner snake oil but each to his/her own.
