Google, And Negating Their Acquiring (Any) Info.: How ?

Hello,

Was wondering if anyone could outline "all" the steps one must go thru to
negate Google's acquiring (any) information regarding your History, Preferences, Purchases, Visits, etc. ?

I read their Policy, several times, but it is confusing, to say the least.
I appreciate that if I do a Delete History, the History on my PC is presumably cleared, but not any of Google's acquiring of info.

If I prohibit any and all Cookies, is this all that is required ?

But, if I do so, how do I handle the Cookies that I do want ?

When all is said and done you probably cant. You can not use Google mail, YouTube, Google Earth, or even search using Google. Even then they can mine data from you.

If you touch Google their new policy (IMHO) give them the right to collect data.

As I see it ...

The Internet is the ultimate level playing field where users are "one click away" from Google's competitors.

Google has increased its dominance in searching, & has become the information gatekeeper of choice in many cases , despite the conflict of interest between information gathering and the advertising surrounding that information.

Marketing & success over any opposition = greater profits for the shareholders.

Sadly we are the pawns in this "game."
