Google Chrome Extensions

Hey guys,


I have recently began using a lot of G Chrome's extersions, and I find htem very useful, but the problem is, is there any chance they are created with viruses, since they are made by private persons?

Anything is possible. There was an extension disguised as a Trojan Virus in April. However that was an .exe file isntead of the normal .crx File. As long as you download it from Google SPECIFICALLY and use Common Sense and have a decent/super AntiVirus you'll be fine

If you stick to extensions with thousands of users you are pretty safe. Also authors can become verified authors which should be even more safe.

Its always a good idea to read peoples comments on the extensions page to see if they've had any problems.
