for those who wanted adblock: link, it subscribes to the same set as adblock plus. Make sure you have the convert button ticked.

I can't get the extensions to work. I add "--enable-extensions" to the end of the target in the shortcut, but when I try to install extensions it still tells me that extensions are not enabled!

Please help

You need to make sure you're using the dev version and not the beta build. Apparently extensions were disabled in the beta build. Make sure you're running version 4.0.249.0.

Are some of you running Chrome without the "updater" in a normal fashion?

I.E. not in the appdata/local/google folder but in a "normal" way?

I assume this is possible, but where can I find just the program to install "normally"

Thanks

Don't know whether this is the right place to ask this question but I seem to have a problem with Chrome.
I installed it specifically as it seems to run Google's new "Wave" application better than the competition (which makes sense)
Anyway I've installed it uninstalled and re-installed it several time with the same result.
It won't display the first page.
Instead I get this. It's still usable, as you can see I have Wave on the bar, but I presume the first page is some kind of splash or speed dial and I can't view. As I said I've installed it several times from various different sources and I always get this.
Any ideas, John:)

Google Chrome for Windows - Terms and Conditions Agreement

The link will get you to the dev builds of Chrome. Download, install, restart Chrome, and there ya go.

This still installs in the Appdata folder. I wish Chrome was just a "normal" program. Am I the only one who thinks this?

Like one that installs in the Program Files folder and runs from there.....

I am not understanding your wanting for Chrome to be placed in the Program Files folder...

Just out of curiosity, how can you get the AppData folder to show up? I know where it is, and it shows up in search, but not when I open up Windows Explorer.

Its a hidden folder, you can either allow yourself to view hidden folders or you can type in the address bar, in the explorer window %appdata%
