I've noticed 2-instances where google chrome will not load a page properly:
a) trip advisor, eg. I cannot select dates in either field as part of find hotel box;
b) pbs frontline, eg. videos will not load and play

curiously, both of these work fine in internet explorer 11.
I understand that I could then just use IE11, but does anyone know how to fix chrome, or what could be the problem?

thank you

Hi,

3 things I would try:

  1. Make sure your browser it up to date (Version 37.0.2062.120)
  2. Clear cache etc (Tools >> Clear browsing data >> select from the beginning of time and check the top 6 boxes >> Click Clear browsing data)
  3. Reset the browser setting back to default (Settings >> +Show advanced setting >> Reset browser settings)

Regards,
Jamie

Hi,

It's hard to say exactly what the setting causing the issue would have been but I'm glad to hear that fixed it.

:thumbsup:

As chrome user myself and getting hit all the time. You could be listening to mp3 via java or flash that could manipulate your chrome. Run a new extension and deleted it, that could have changed the setting causing the issue. The extension could be an infected extension.
Hit by malware that you don't know that is there.
