Google Chrome question

Hi.. I have a windows 7 IE 8 sony vaio laptop
now I play games on facebook games board
I was told if I download google chrome.. it is better for games..

when I went to see google chrome it said do you want to set as default browes.
i dont want to do that

I want to stay with IE 8 and dont want my browser to be google chrome

so if I say no to making it my default browser then do I stay with IE 8

If you say no, whatever your current default browser is will remain the default.

the default browser is what launches when you click on a link in email, or an application needs to take you to the web.

You can have Chrome loaded and just launch it when you want to use it. Any surfing that you do from within Chrome will stay in Chrome....same would go for anything you are doing in IE.

thank you.. so in layman's terms if I say no.... I stay in IE 8 all the time
and why would i want to launch it .....????
the only reason I want to download it .... is because playing certain games on facebook like wheel of fortune and Jeopardy sometimes freezes computer and they say to have google chrome in order to have it not..

For many of us, we don't like IE. I haven't used it in years. For me it's usually Firefox and lately Chrome is being used on my box. So, while Firefox is my default browser, I like to launch Chrome from time to time and try it out.
