I've been a firefox user for a long time, but im thinking of switching to Chrome.

There is just 2 things i don't like and maybe you guys know how to fix it.

I don't like how Google collects my usernames for all sites, even tho i say dont remember password.

I also dont like how eveytime i type my email, for my username its says its a wrong word...


was wondering if you could fix any of them.

i use chromeplus, which is a tweaked-up and oft-updated version of good old chrome, but with a few extra features, like an internet explorer 'tab' (for those rare sites that only work in ie, useful non-gimmicky mouse gestures (eg highlight a word or phrase, drag your mouse a bit, and a new tab appears with a google search for that word), ad-blocker and it doesn't 'steal' your privacy.

there are also simple ways (even with vanilla chrome) to stop the username collection - they are just cookies after all, and are meant to make life easier...although i suppose for a multi-user computer they may be a bother.

as for your last point, Mitch656 - are you referring to the spellchecker underlining your name? that can be turned off too - but in a strange place - wrench >> options >> under the bonnet >> font and languages >> languages >> untick check spelling.

don't believe the (negative) hype - google is not stealing any personal data (especially if you use chromeplus instead..)

as for me i found IE 8 better than google chrome in privacy and protecting, even though Google Chrome is a bit faster but still Privacy Goes FIRST
