Google Dumps Toolbar Support For Firefox

Firefox is walking an awkward rope with Google. Mozilla receives – and has always received – a lot of funding for Firefox from the Big G, but analysts have expected Google to drop its sugar daddy status ever since the launch of the Chrome browser. So far those analysts have been disappointed, but on Thursday, Google announced it would no longer include support for new versions of Firefox with its Google Toolbar. Was it the first volley fired in a new browser war?

Google has something called the Chrome Web Store. It lets you run apps in Google Chrome (Google's browser). Maybe that's why there's no Google Toolbar support for Firefox anymore. But that's just a guess.

I am the guilty one who uses google toolbar,or did untill today,i liked it for the toolbar buttons,they made finding my favourate wed sites very easy.

Seriously? I find it hilarious how people are cursing Google all over the web for removing the toolbar. Toolbar's simply aren't needed anymore. I understand the use of toolbar's during the IE6 time for example, when IE6 didn't have tab functionality, but toolbar's allowed it to do so. But nowadays? Toolbar's are nothing more than advertising revenue...
