Google home page is in Chinese and not English

Google home page (www.google.com) is in Chinese instead of English. All other Google pages (maps.google.com, mail.google.com, news.google.com) are in English. Additionally, all other sites are in English as well. The language preference at Tools -> Internet Options is set to English.

Any ideas on how to fix this?

Welcome to Seven Forums monte. This is in IE? Do you have a Google account you are signed in to, or just Google set as your home page? What happens if you set http://www.google.com/ncr as the home page, does it display english? A Guy

Google Home Page displayed in Chinese

I am having this same issue on a Customer's PC - Win 7 Home Premium SP1 - 64 bit

The issue occurs in IE, Mozilla Firefox, and Chrome. When Google is opened, a page displayed in Chinese can be translated to read four steps to access IIS Help.

I have reset all browser setting and cleared all cache.

When Google is addressed, the same Chinese page appears.

I have also attempted this from multiple ISPs with the same result on this one PC. Thus, eliminating a Google Server trying to pinpoint my public IP

Use http://www.google.com/ncr to set the default language for the Google site.

If that dosnt work:

Try

https://www.google.co.uk/preferences#languages

Select English from the list of options.
